B I O:

Susan Keller’s memoir, BLOOD BROTHER, won the 2017 national Writer’s Award for best 1,000-word

opening of a memoir. She is uniquely positioned to write BLOOD BROTHER as she has decades of

experience in medical and scientific publishing, where her work garnered awards from the American Medical

Writers Association.

In addition to her Writer’s Advice Award, her poetry has taken first place in slams; semi-finalist in the Atlantic Review

Poetry Contest; and Honorable Mention in the Bay Area Poets Coalition National Contest. Her fiction and poetry have

also been published in numerous anthologies.

Her short story, "Daisy Chain," was published in The Reading Hour; and her personal essay, “Foodie,” was published
